Climbing the walls :)

Colin started the weekend asking me to find a climbing wall here on the island. Apparently one of his best buddies from school goes all the time and Colin wanted to check it out. I took him a couple of times on the mainland, but that's been over 2 years ago... Anyway, I emailed his friend's Mom and it turns out they were headed up to the gym today. We bailed on family day at the Honolulu Academy of Arts and climbed some walls instead. Colin and Kurt (and the Mom's) had a blast! The little ones, Ryan and Kurt's sister, were on and off. Ryan really wanted to keep up with the older boys and it's going to take some practice ~ I was very thankful that he was a little cautious! After climbing for 2 hours, we got some ice cream and headed to the park. The boys played a little pick-up soccer with some local boys that were there, lots of fun and great to see the kids so relaxed with new friends :) What a GREAT day!!

We stuck to bouldering today. There are 3 top belayed routes but the kids were having such a great time free climbing we stuck with that :)
